What a pleasure it was to produce a regional singing contest that offered local singers an opportunity to be discovered by the community, entertainment industry executives, media and make some new fans. As an added bonus, I partnered with a record label executive, public relations firm, LatinoLa.com and featured upcoming recording artists to inspire the contestants and give guests a treat. The contest was patterned after American Idol, but I have been involved with talent scouting and contests since the early 90’s. Brownstone, signed to Michael Jackson’s label, was one of the first groups my event production partners showcased.
Partnered with a local law immigration law firm, Mexican Consulate, one of California’s top Azteca dance groups, winners of Univision’s children’s contest and participating restaurants to deliver a memorable cultural experience for the Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley community.
